Drop-In Art Sundays
Cranbrook Art Museum offers art-making in the galleries once a month, typically on the third Sunday. Activities are perfect for pre-K through pre-teen Museum visitors accompanied by an adult. Drop-in and grab a Kids Gallery Guide to explore the exhibition, then create your own artwork inspired by this month’s featured artists.
March 16, 2 – 4pm
There is art everywhere – even in basketball! Consider Phil Jackson’s drawings of pro-basketball plays (part of our current exhibition) as children create motion maps of their own, capturing the paths of people doing anything – and everything – you can imagine. Children are also invited to explore the work of the furniture designers Front Design and create a motion map documenting how they created their art.
