The Museum will be closed from May 13 through June 13 as we prepare for the installation of our summer exhibitions. Saarinen House, however, will remain open for tours during the installation period, and an outdoor youth tour will still take place on May 19.

Closed: New Year's Eve & Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve & Day, and from March 31, 2013 – April, 20, 2013 for our annual shutdown.

Barrier free access to the galleries of Cranbrook Art Museum can be accommodated through the adjacent New Studios Building. Visitors with disabilities are encouraged to call the Front Desk of the Art Museum at 248-645-3320 during regular museum hours for assistance. If you are planning your visit in advance, you may also call the Art Museum Administrative Offices at 248-645-3319 (Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm) for additional information.
Blue Star Museums Program and Michigan Activity Pass Offer Free Admission
Cranbrook Art Museum is proud to once again be participating in the Blue Star Museums program, offering free admission and discounts to active duty military personnel and their families. In addition to Cranbrook Art Museum, the program is offered at more than 1,800 museums across the country. The program will run at Cranbrook Art Museum from June 13 through Labor Day. We are once again participating in the Michigan Activity Pass program (formerly the Museum Adventure Pass)! Beginning on May 24, you can check out a pass at your local library and bring it to the Museum for free admission when the Museum reopens on June 14.
