MORE ABOUT THE EXHIBITION >>

Since 1964 Robert L. Pfannebecker has made forty consecutive trips to Cranbrook, driving from his home in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to attend the Academy of Art's annual graduate degree exhibitions. His visits to Cranbrook have provided him with a life-long education in the arts and have fueled his passion for collecting the work of emerging artists. The Pfannebecker Collection is recognized as one of the most noteworthy collections of contemporary American crafts.
Cranbrook to Lancaster and Back also includes a new photographic installation created by Kate Hardy (Ceramics '04) in response to her study of the Pfannebecker Collection.
