Saarinen House + Gardens

Download and view our new Saarinen House and Garden Visitor's Guide (2mb, pdf)

Saarinen House and Garden is a total work of art, architecture and design. Saarinen House is the home and studio designed by Eliel Saarinen, the Finnish-American architect and Cranbrook’s resident architect from 1925 to 1950. He designed the house for himself and his wife, textile designer Loja Saarinen.

A 90-minute tour is available to introduce visitors to Saarinen’s role within the community and take an in-depth look at the architect’s restored home. Tours are offered from May to October only. More information on tours.

* Huntington Cleaners is the sponsor of the Saarinen House tour season.
