Youth Programs

Programming geared towards the young is always available at Cranbrook, both within Museum tours and other special events.

For an in-depth experience with current exhibitions and the permanent collection make a reservation for a Docent-guided museum tour. Docents will lead groups (minimum of six participants) through the permanent collection and exhibitions currently on view in the museum.

Youth groups who make reservations for tours will have the opportunity to participate in exhibition related activities and interactive discussions.

Now in its fourth year, the Cranbrook Summer Art Institute is one of the most respected camps for quality summer art education. Simulating the college experience, the Summer Art Institute utilizes the resources available at Cranbrook Academy of Art, one of the top and most innovative graduate art schools in the country. Day trips to area galleries and professional studios are an integral part of the curriculum, which concludes with a formal exhibition.
